Dance Area Talk at the School for the Contemporary Arts: Caro Novella & Kevin O'Connor. Improvisation for Health, Science and Social Justice
A conversation with Professor Henry Daniel in the series Dance Area Talks, about how dance methods and improvisation practices engages the sciences, health and social justice. Hosted by The School for the Contemporary Arts, at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver. Some questions that we explored are, “How can rehearsal be valued as a mode of training and performance method?” How do we build relational fields that attend to collective care and mutuality? How do we train attention to the unequal distributions of vulnerability? How do we attend to togethering and to the particular socio-cultural processes making anatomies in dance, biomedical and scientific fields?
“The transdisciplinary methodology that you both have is just incredible” Dr. Daniel
